Summer flies after the 4th here in the USA and back-to-school sale ads are signaling the nearing of the new school year.
As a Head of School, it was easy for summer tension to creep into my mind. Should I spend my time soaking up rest and family time or dedicate more time and attention to deep work that will set the course for the next school year?
Like so many anxieties, this was usually a false choice.
I found that if I stopped expending my energy on worry, gave the necessary issues some focused thought and attention (both on my own and with my team), we could knock out good thinking that progress. And I could enjoy that quality time with my own family too.
So that’s what I want to help you do.
